Life is a box full of “Life” itself

Pondering over Life is not a daily affair but September 2017 was one such month that gave her that box of life which was filled with surprises, shocks, opportunity, some success and some failures. In short her box of life was actually a box full of “Life” that day.

She virtually scrolled her complete life when she stepped into her 2nd innings life. She judged herself, She accessed herself. Packing a whole life is not an easy task and September was one such Box of life, the chapter of life.

She was angry, She was happy, She was sad, She was tensed, She was restless, She was irritated, She was clueless about future but still life moved on.

Life is a box full of experiences

  • that she had learned in her struggling and ever learning life till now.
  • No denying every day, every turning point was a new experience of life
  • She grew up fast and the box of life taught her a lot.

Life is a box of Dreams

  • Some unfulfilled dreams still giving more space to dream more.
  • Some faded plans and charts of life
  • It all came again in eyes when she opened her box of past while packing.
  • To dream more, wish more, try more, never give up and strive harder.

Life is a box of memories……

  • it all came in front of her when that box of photographs fell open from the closet.
  • it virtually ran the whole life when she saw her old books and cassettes
  • which refreshed all her life when diaries half filled and half empty gave me words to explore once again.
  • those days of hospital visits of bedridden him.
  • visit beaches not to feel but to heal.
  • Yet a new start every time and closing doors to dark nights
  • Every sunshine was bright but with cries

Life is a box of opportunity

  • some opportunities grabbed, some still lay unattended
  • to think every moment in a new way, to try new things and experience new things.
  • still with few random offers in hands, looking forward to grabbing again.

Life is a box of surprises

  • To let you take by shock, sometimes planned or sometimes unplanned it surprises in its own unique way.
  • expecting the unexpected
  • meeting some strangers turned friend for life

Life is a box of colors and flavors. It’s with all shades be it happiness or sad, be it success or failure. Life gives us all shades to try and live on.

When that truck was packed with all her life’s material things, it was her box full of life. Her truck full of life, her life full of memories. Her life was a box of potpourri where she had packed the past and beginning her present for a new future.

September Story

Sorry you are leaving—- I can say this to September this year specially for many reasons.

Yes September 2017 gave me this sorry feeling when my mother had to leave her job of several years and Location too where she had spent years working and struggling together and i was unable to share her emotions.

It was a date to remember, September 5th 2017….When life closed and opened doors.

Sorry aai (mom) as i call her. Sorry that i was not around you at this time. It was a change a big change for you and your age. You had served years at this location, at this workplace, at this city, at this moment. While leaving from memories, sorry i was not around you to share the emotions. I missed it and I missed a lot in life with you.

Life somehow moved and we both were occupied to keep ourselves survive that i was unable to have that strong mother daughter relation with you.

As life’s struggle only gave us time to cope with life. I was never a daughter the one you had wanted me to be…. I was with lots of ifs and buts i feel. I was not able to get that dream career as you had expected. I had dreams to do a lot for you but sorry I couldn’t do all that i had thought.

I don’t know how can i show gratitude for all things you did for me, you are my ideal strong women who fought all her life and made me the person I am. I am thankful for all the love and upbringing.

This week i lay in my bed restless and confused and filled with random thoughts about future.

Its gonna be difficult for you in new place and new era of life. But its a new sunrise again with new hopes and new day.

Sorry for not being there with you

Nothing can beat the aroma of freshly beaten home made coffee.

coffee 037    beaten coffee 3

Coffee given me ideas and this is how i get topic to blog.

Aromas of Coffee bean and tea leaf are intoxicating. And i love the way i experiment with coffee. Be it beaten coffee or filter coffee, Be it masala kauphi or bit of ginger in it.

I’m sure to bake a cake too with that with coffee liquor. And of-course sandwiches and pastry too that I plan to serve in my dream cafe… what say!!

Till now i update them on “chewdaa”

My kauphi is my best buddy and I can spend whole day in balcony with shade of lovely tree with my favorite book and whole universe with me.

kauphi cup

September Coffee has many things in list:

I participated in many blogospeher contests to let my blog grow up a bit.

It was a 2nd inning beginning for my ideal in my life my “Mother.”

I did a great job being a secretary of a local club and my show was a big hit.

I was confused about life but realisedtime goes on and no point thinking about it.

I learnt more on Save water after hosting a campaign on it. Learnt a few more ways to incorporate water saving at my home.

Finding solutions is what i learnt instead of just pondering.

I worked a bit more on my dream cafe and pushed the thoughts further by collecting necessary info for start-up, with fresh energy with my kauphi.

I pondered on things life has given me and thanking the super power for it.

It’s my younger ones b’day this month so hosting a creative, fun filled party will be another task in my bag.

My younger one’s birth was a reason behind exploring myself via this blog.

So September coffee holds memories to cherish for life time.

Kauphi is my healing beverage, holding the hot coffee mug in cold weather it will surely be like meditation and rejuvenation.

#FaveFiveFriday Lines from Literature

#FaveFiveFriday is an initiative by Buzz Magazine
I love books and penning down favorite lines comes naturally to it.
Some times you read such beautiful lines that one can not move ahead ignoring them.
SO underline them or note them down is a good habit.
This topic stole my heart the moment I read about it.
1.By Ayn Rand in my favorite book ” the Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand
  • “Independence is the only gauge of human virtue and value. What a man is and makes of himself; not what he has or hasn’t done for others. There is no substitute for personal dignity.” Part 4, Chapter 18, pg. 681

In Atlas shrugged

2. By ― Emma Donoghue, Room

  • “Goodbye, Room.” I wave up at Skylight. “Say goodbye,” I tell Ma. “Goodbye, Room.”
Ma says it but on mute.
I look back one more time. It’s like a crater, a hole where something happened. Then we go out the door.”

3. By Paulo coelho

4. By – Paulo Coelho in Eleven minutes

  • “Everything tells me that I am about to make a wrong decision, but making mistakes is just part of life. What does the world want of me? Does it want me to take no risks, to go back to where I came from because I didn’t have the courage to say “yes” to life?”
  • I am two women: one wants to have all the joy, passion and adventure that life can give me. The other wants to be a slave to routine, to family life, to the things that can be planned and achieved.

Ganpati sthapana – गणपति स्थापना

Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi is Hindu festival and is celebrated with great devotion all over the country as well as outside India too by Indians all over the world.

Also called Ganesh utsav, its a 10 day festival which starts on Ganesh chaturthi and ends on anant chaturthi.

It is believed that Lord Ganesha, the son of God Shiva and Godess Parvati bestows his presence during this festival.

Devotees of Lord Ganesha bring home Ganesha idols for the sthapna. sthapana means make them seated at a particular place and decorate the place as per there wish.  say 1.5 day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days or 9 days and then on 10th day i.e.

Ganpati idol can be kept for say 1.5 day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days or 9 days and then on 10th day i.e. anant chaturthi the idol is immersed in water/ river/ sea…But these days to keep our rivers clean we can immerse idols in a tub of water and then once the clay is dissolved it can be used to water plants.

Ganesha pooja on the Chaturthi day is usually performed as per the Muhurat, which can be checked form kalnirya panchang, or pundits/ guruji. Puja means the traditional ceremony by which God is worshipped.

For stapana the sthaan where Ganpati will sit is cleaned and decorated. Raw rice grains/ consisdered the symbol of growth are used to make asan by spreading them on the place. Over the rice grains, place one supaari and put haldi and kumkum on the supari.  Supari is also symbolism of ganesha…. “Ganpati Bappa Moriya” is recited during sthapana and then the Ganpati Idol is placed over this preparation.. Generally the senior male member brings in the idol by keeping them on head inside the house.

After the stapana supari, almond, kharik(date), one fruits and dakshina is placed over paan leaves/ beetle leaves along with A coconut.

Nevedyam is prepared of panchamrut / charnamrut ( milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar).

Also khirapat is made of coconut…….recipe to make khirapat click here

The most favourite of all is “Modak”

Additionally fruits ans sweets are offered as prasadam.
A Tika of ashthagandha or Sandalwood paste is applied on the forehead of the Deity and other members too.

Aarti Diya’s are lit and agarbatti to fragrant the place, agarbattis, dhoop, (insense and fragrance)
Then we offer 21 Druva grass blades (with 3 stems), 21 Modakas, and Flowers to Ganesha.
Importance of 21 – ekavimshati is asanskrit word which means (5+5+5+5+1) for

5 organs of perception [gyanendriya]  (nose – smell, tongue – taste, eyes -sight, skin – touch, ear – sound) +

5 organs of action (karmendriya) +

5 pancha prana (vital enrgy forces) +

5 basic elemnts of nature (panch bhoota – Prithvi(earth), Vaayu (air), Jal (rain), Agni (fire), Aakash (sky/space) and

the one mind, which all adds to 21.
Everyone doing aarti should dress well after a bath and attend the sacred rituals.

Various aarti’s are perfomred the main is

“sukhkarta Dukhharta varta vignachi”

“shendur lal chadhayo”

At last camphor tabs/ kapur aarti is performed and then after taking arti and offering flowers to idol prasad is distributed to all attendees.

Hartalika puja हरतालिका-व्रतपूजा

Today is hartalika Teej of 2017

Hartalika Puja is performed every year during Shukla paksha Tritiya of Bhadrapada month.

This generally falls one day before “Ganesh Chaturthi” and three days after ‘pola’ Amavasya.

On this day statue of God Shiva and Goddess Parvati are made of Soil from Tulsi flower pot for worshipping.

The mud idols are then worshipped for marital bliss.

It’s made like this because the story says goddess Parvati also did puja of clay shivling in deep forest to pray to have only God Shiva as her husband….

A lot of leaves from different trees and flowers are used for ritual.

Next day udyapan (उद्यापन) is done with nevedyam(नैवेद्यम्)of curd and rice and then the clay idols are submerged in water.
